At Mayfair, we celebrate reading success through our Sight Words Hall of Fame. This special recognition highlights students who have mastered essential sight words, those commonly used words that children should be able to recognize instantly, without needing to sound them out.

Sight words are the building blocks of fluent reading. When children can quickly recognize these words, they spend less time decoding and more time understanding what they read. This leads to stronger comprehension, greater confidence, and a lifelong love of reading.
