August, 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. As we start the new school year together on Monday, August 15, 2022, the staff at Mayfair Elementary School looks forward to working with you and your child. Our Mayfair staff strongly believes that the education of children is a partnership between the home and the school, and that parent involvement is crucial to the success of our students.

The Mayfair Elementary office will extend their hours on Tuesday, August 2nd & 9th 2022 for registration.  The office will be open through 7:00 PM.

Class lists will be posted Thursday, August 11, 2022 on the cafeteria windows and office area. These lists will indicate your child’s teacher and room number. No room changes will be made prior to Monday, August 29, 2022.  Please note that due to the possible enrollment changes we may need to create or collapse classrooms.  There is a possibility that your child may be moved to a different class. We will contact you if this occurs.

Mayfair Daily Schedule:

TK & Kindergarten          8:00am-1:35pm

Grades 1st – 6th                8:00am-2:35pm

Parent conferences will be held during the week of October 17th through October 21st, 2022. Dismissal will be 60 minutes prior to our regular dismissal to accommodate the parent conference schedule.  During parent conference week, our dismissal for students in kindergarten will be at 12:35pm and grades 1st – 6th will be at 1:35pm each day.

Breakfast is served from 7:30-7:50am and our After School Program is available daily until 6:00pm for students enrolled.

The staff at Mayfair Elementary is committed to providing an education that will prepare your child to be a career ready graduate and we look forward to working with you toward this goal.

Sincerely,

Gay Lynn Ockey

Principal
